Common questions, and where to find us.

Start here. If your question isn't covered, write to us directly at folio@eixo.design. We answer within two working days.

Pricing & scope

  • How much does a Folio site cost?

Folio sites start from €1,950. Most full portfolio projects fall between €3,500 and €5,500. Portfolio and shop projects usually range from €6,500 to €10,000, depending on content, shop setup, and visual direction. Pricing is one-time; there is no monthly subscription.

  • Is there a monthly subscription?

No. Folio is sold as a one-time setup with three months of launch support included. After that, you can book help when needed at an hourly rate, or choose periodic site reviews. There is no required subscription.

  • Can I sell my work through Folio?

Yes, optionally. Folio Shop adds product pages, checkout, payment, and order admin to the portfolio foundation, without turning the rest of your site into a store. Payments go through Mollie or Stripe; physical fulfillment can run through Gelato.

Editing your site

  • How do I edit my site?

Sign in to your admin. The URL ends in /admin or sits on its own subdomain; check Account & settings if you are unsure. Every public surface has an editor: Works, Journal, Pages, Appearance. Edits autosave; published content updates on the next page request.

  • I published something but I can't see it on the site.

Three things to check, in order: (1) the entry status is "Published", not "Draft"; (2) the public site has been refreshed (a hard reload with Cmd+Shift+R or Ctrl+Shift+F5 bypasses any browser cache); (3) the publish action succeeded (the editor shows a "Published" pill in the rail and a green flash at the top). If all three look right and the content still isn't showing, get in touch. It's usually a content-validation issue we can fix in a minute.

  • How do unpublished edits work on a published entry?

You can edit a live work or journal entry without taking it offline. Changes go to a draft overlay (visible in the editor, invisible on the site) until you press Publish. The rail shows a "You have unpublished updates" banner whenever an overlay is in flight; the discard button reverts to the live version.

Visual & themes

  • How do I change my site's colors or fonts?

Appearance in the admin. Palette and Typography are independent; pick any combination. We deliver up to three palettes and three typographies per site, tuned together. If you want a new palette or font pair, that's a change request (see Request a change).

  • How do I change the homepage layout?

Appearance → Homepage. Four layouts: Grid (3-up featured + stacked brand), Strip (still hero + brand left), Mosaic (packed gallery + side nav), Splash (full-bleed cover of the first featured work). Each rerenders the public site on save; no rebuild required.

Languages

  • How do I add or change languages?

The set of languages your site supports is part of the initial setup (e.g. en + nl, en + pt-BR). Adding a new language is a change request. We wire it server-side, generate UI translations, and the admin's bilingual editor lets you fill in content. Once configured, you can edit per-language directly without a deploy.

  • Does the auto-translate in the editor cost anything?

No. The bilingual editor calls a free translation service for draft suggestions. The translation is a starting point; you edit freely from there. It never publishes without you saving.

Operations

  • Where is my site hosted? Can I move it?

Folio sites run on Cloudflare (Workers + D1 + R2). Your content, media, and configuration are portable, exportable at any time. The hosting infrastructure itself is operated by us; if you ever leave, you take your data and domain, not the operating stack.

  • Who owns my domain?

You do. Your domain registrar account, payment provider account (Mollie/Stripe), and fulfillment account (Gelato) are all in your name from day one. We help you set them up; we don't hold them.

  • What's the response time for support?

Two working days for most requests. Urgent issues (site down, checkout broken) we treat as priority and aim for same-day. If something is on fire, say so in the subject line.

Still stuck?

Two ways to reach us. Pick whichever fits.
